Meet the Founder

Vivek Agarwal, a third-generation grower, brings together decades of family knowledge with global engineering expertise. After working in the semiconductor industry in the United States, he returned to India in 2023 to build RoseShack—combining precision technology with a lifelong passion for farming.

His vision is simple: to grow better—using smarter, more sustainable methods while delivering consistent, premium-quality produce.

Meet the Co-Founder & Director of Horticultural Operations

Ashok Agarwal is a professional horticulturist and second-generation owner of Friends Rosery, carrying forward a rich family legacy rooted in horticultural excellence. With a lifelong passion for plants and decades of hands-on experience, he has played a pivotal role in introducing and cultivating one of India’s most extensive collections of roses, cacti, gladioli, houseplants, and other exotic plant varieties.

As Co-Founder and Chief Horticulturist of Rose Shack, Ashok brings a wealth of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and innovative growing practices to the organization. His deep understanding of plant cultivation, greenhouse management, and crop production helps guide the team in delivering premium-quality produce while maintaining the highest standards of sustainability and excellence.

Pallavi Agarwal is the driving force behind the scenes at Rose Shack and a devoted mother of two wonderful children. As Co-Founder, she oversees customer relations, marketing, human resources, and day-to-day business operations, ensuring that every aspect of the organization runs smoothly and efficiently.

With over 15 years of corporate experience and international exposure, Pallavi brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and people-focused leadership to the team. Her passion for building meaningful customer relationships, fostering a positive workplace culture, and growing the Rose Shack brand has been instrumental in the company’s success.

A Journey Through Generations

Our Roots (1959)

The story of RoseShack began in 1959 when Mr. J.P. Agarwal founded Friends Rosery with a vision to grow authentic, high-quality roses with passion and integrity.

A Childhood on the Farm

For Vivek Agarwal, farming was never just a profession. Childhood memories were shaped by days spent harvesting flowers, watering and pruning roses, grafting cacti, and learning the rhythms of nature firsthand.

The Birth of RoseShack

In 2023, Vivek returned to India and founded RoseShack—combining generations of horticultural expertise with modern greenhouse automation and precision farming.

Growing the Legacy

The next generation expanded the family’s expertise into gladioli, cacti, and ornamental plants—building one of the region’s most respected horticultural collections.

Engineering Meets Agriculture

After pursuing engineering and working in the semiconductor industry in the United States, Vivek gained years of experience in precision manufacturing, operations, and innovation.

Growing Beyond Roses

Today, RoseShack grows premium roses and exotic vegetables including bell peppers, jalapeños, lunchbox peppers, and cherry tomatoes for homes, restaurants, and wholesale markets.
